We all know that oil heaters do not have to be refilled, which means that once you buy this Delonghi heating unit, you will no longer need to maintain it and lose time. It is really a conveneint portable heater that has 9.1×13.8×25.2 dimensions. It is quite compact so you can place it in the kitchen, bathroom or any other room of your choice.

To show you the quality of the Delonghi electric heaters, I thought it would be a good idea to get a review from a long time user. Of course, it would be impossible to get the reviews from all electric models, but on should be enough to show you where Delonghi stands when it comes to this type of heaters.

The model in question is DeLonghi HS15F Electric Mid-Size Heater.

“I did some searching online at Lowe’s, Home Depot, eBay, and of course looked on Epinions as well. The last heater I bought was a refurbished heater from eBay and it lasted about one winter and that was it … junk basically. So I figured I was going to go with a new store item this time in case I needed to return it.

After doing my online research, I did not have a clear cut favorite so I made a trip to Lowe’s and walked out with the DeLonghi HS15F, a convection based heater. I did not really want a fan based one since there is so much more sound produced than necessary. The size, features, and claim for a silent fan won me over. I have since used it for a winter and when it began to get colder have used it a few times this fall. It stills works great.

Well, enough of the boring story … here is what you want to read about – the HS15F.

Fan – The fan claims to be silent and compared to most heaters with a fan it most certainly is. It supposedly can heat up to 35% faster because of the fan dispersing the heat coming from the convection heater. Also, there is a switch to turn the fan on, so you don’t always have to have the fan running if it is not needed.

Heat Settings – There are two heat settings so you can choose how much heat you want to put out. The high setting runs at about 1500 watts while the Lo setting runs at 750 watts. During the fall the 750 watts is more than sufficient to heat a normal sized off, while the winter may need the full 1500 depending on the office and the insulation.

Thermostat – There is a dial “thermostat” so that if you don’t want it to run all day long then you can set it at a level where you are comfortable and then it will turn on and off as necessary. Which is nice if you are self-employed and like to save some bucks, or if you are using it at home.

Special Features – There are three special features which are all very handy and nice to know about.
Thermal cut-off This feature will shut off the heater if it happens to get too hot. Most heaters obviously have this sort of feature so that it will hopefully prevent any problems with overheating.
Anti-freeze This feature will actually turn the heater on if the room temperature drops below 44 degrees Fahrenheit.

I am very pleased with how it works. The few features it has and the silence of the fan just add to how well it works. I have had no complaints at all and would not hesitate in buying another if I would ever need one for any reason. The one thing which only happens for maybe 3 minutes a year is that funny smell that happens when you turn the heater on for the first time in a long time. I attribute that to the heater burning the dust off that has been sitting on it since not being used … at least that is my theory since it happens with just about any heater I have ever used.”

There are plenty of variant you can find, but most of these units cost around $60. They are enough to keep medium sized room warm during the cold day. When it comes to features, there are some of them that are quite useful. For example, if you trip the heater, it will shut down immediately. There is a thermostat to set up the temperature you want oil radiator heater to maintain. And of course, programs are available with some models, so you can set the time you want the device to turn on and turn of. This is quite useful when you are going to sleep and want heater to work a bit more. Then you can set it up to turn off one or two hours after you fall asleep. The situation is the same if you want to preheat your rooms before you come home from the work.

The quality of these heaters is outstanding, like I said. The good news is that you won”t have to spend money on fuel ,since the oil inside does not need to be changed. You are only going to pay for the electricity and the bills won’t be that high. It’s because the oil can hold on the high temperature and warm the air some time after the oil heater has been turned off. If you wish to save some money in the long run, this would be a great choice for you.

There are many of portable Delonghi models so you can heat different room in your home, like kitchen living room or a garage. All units have wheels, so you will be able to move them by yourself.
